Mrs. Iva Carney, age 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away March 30, 2004, at her home. She was born February 16, 1935, in Tioga, Texas, to J. P. and Hettie Bell (Adams) Myers. She married Roy E. Carney, Jr. on March 18, 2004, in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Carney was a proof reader in the Collin County Clerk’s Office and member of the Bible Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Carney, Jr.; daughter, Sharlyne Lowry and husband, Jim of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Bill Myers and wife, Darla of Azle, Texas; sister, Janie Collum and husband, Bill of Rusk, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Lowry of Vancouver, Washington, Bryan Lowry and Sherry Lowry, both of Marietta, Georgia; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gene Myers; and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, April 2, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Brian Spurgin officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M., Sadler Cemetery, Sadler, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
