Iris Campbell Krygowski

Mar 19 1941 - Aug 25 2013

Iris Krygowski, 72, lost her battle with heart disease on August 25, 2013 with her husband Leonard by her side. She was a beloved wife and mother.

Iris was born March 19, 1941 in Glenside Parade, Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was the youngest of five siblings and followed her three sisters to the U.S. in 1967. She married her husband Len in 1977, and, with their daughter Karen, moved frequently across the U.S. as a result of a number of job transfers for Len. Iris and Len then relocated from Atlanta , in retirement, to Sarasota, FL, where they enjoyed 11 active years with wonderful friends, until recently settling in Prosper, TX, a suburb of Dallas.

Len and Iris enjoyed a wonderful 36-year marriage full of golf, travel and a passion for life. With Len’s cooking abilities and Iris’ passion for entertaining, they enjoyed hosting friends for dinner parties and engaging in other social activities. Iris had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing hymns, often in weddings for friends and family. She was very active in her communities over the years, serving as an Elder in her church congregation, volunteering for hospice, organizing golf tournaments to benefit breast cancer, and engaging in other service activities. Iris had an effervescent personality and a sassy wit that kept her friends and family laughing. With her beautiful blue eyes, engaging smile, and infectious personality, she was a true joy to be around, and was loved by many.
