Mrs. Irene Griffin, age 89, of Prosper, Texas passed away on December 3, 2004, in McKinney, Texas. She was born on July 14, 1915, in Missouri to William Nathan and Mary Barbara (Dalton) Reaves. She married Jesse Lee Griffin on November 20, 1937, in McKinney, Texas. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Prosper. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Tommy Lowry of Fairview, Texas, Wanda and Bobby Jones of Prosper, Texas and Amiteen and Jack Ramm of Greenville, Texas; grandchildren, Kimberly Stratton of Allen, Texas, Mark Lowry of Westfield, New Jersey, Terry Jones of Prosper, Texas, Chris Jones of Decatur, Texas, Rusty Jones and Sherry Spurgin both of McKinney, Paul Lovelace of Yellville, Arkansas and Sherry Lovelace of Flippin, Arkansas; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Edna Blasingame of McKinney. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Griffin; parents, Bill and Mary Reaves; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 6, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Prosper with Dr. Kevin Basham and Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Altoga Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
