Mrs. Irene Covington, age 96, of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 14, 2004, in Allen, Texas. She was born on November 5, 1907, in Rockwood, Texas to Ernest and Patty (Foreman) McBride. She married Ernest Covington on May 10, 1924, in Lubbock, Texas. Mrs. Covington was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith. She is survived by her daughters, Syble Miller and husband, Louis of McKinney and Frances Hasty of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Covington was preceded in death by her husband and 4 brothers. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Restland Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
