Ione Logue, age 90, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away September 21, 2008, in Weatherford. Ione was born October 2, 1917 in Grantham, Oklahoma to John William and Callie Elizabeth (King) Slaton. She married James Newton Logue in Hugo, Oklahoma. Ione was a secretary who enjoyed traveling and was a follower in the footsteps of Christ, while James had a long career serving in the U. S. Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. She is survived by her sons, James Newton Logue, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Plano, Texas and John Slaton Logue and his wife, Patricia of Memphis, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Ione Evans and her husband, Benjamin of Weatherford, Texas; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, John William Slaton, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Paul Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. She will lie in repose from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
