Mrs. Inez Groves Greenway-Johnson passed away Sunday afternoon July 21, 2013 at the Hinton Nursing Home in Farmersville.

She was born to Garland and Birdie Curtis Groves October 25, 1923. She was a homemaker, teacher(in Farmersville), a professor at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Department Head at East Texas A&M in Commerce, Texas for many years prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her sons: Michael Ray Greenway and wife Jeannie, and Larry Greenway, and daughter in law Charlene Greenway, all of Farmersville. She is also survived by a brother; Garland Bert Groves of Midland, Texas. Her grandchildren include; Donald Ray Greenway of Farmersville, Texas, Kyle Allen Greenway of Little Elm, Texas, Dennis John Greenway of Pottsboro, Texas, Jacquline Greenway Ipock of Marshall, Texas, Jessica Greenway Wright of Seymour, Texas Zacariah Greenway of Commerce, Texas, Marijirie Pearl Greenway of Burlington, N.C. one step son Thomas Johnson of Rockwall, Texas and one step daughter, Carolyn Johnson Williams of Commerce, Texas. Inez had five great grandchildren and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Berdie Groves, two sons; Kenneth Earl Greenway and Daniel Allen Greenway, brothers; Thomas E. Groves, Charles R. Groves, James A. Groves and a sister; Monta J. Groves Wisdom and late husband Ross E. Johnson Jr. Inez will be greatly missed.
