Imogene C. Sitton, age 87, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 26, 2011, in McKinney. Imogene was born November 11. 1923, in Princeton, Texas, to Thomas Franklin and Mary Mabee (Debow) Cave. She married Robert S. Sitton on April 6, 1968, in Houston, Texas. Imogene retired from the U. S. Government after twenty-eight years where she was employed with NASA and the United States Air Force. She also worked as a medical transcriptionist for fifteen years. Imogene volunteered at the Medical Center of McKinney Cancer Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her cousins, June and Dave Fellows and Raymond Woodard; step-daughter, Sally Wood of Spokane, Washington; niece, Dr. Anita Cave of Brownwood, Texas; and her very special friends and caregivers, Paul and Debra Comella of Princeton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert S. Sitton in 1986, son, Tommy McDonald in 1995, and brother, John Paul Cave. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2011, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
