Mrs. Ima Mae Lansford, age 88, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 17, 2011, in Allen, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1922, in Gober, Texas, to John William and Savanah Idella (Wagner) Butler. On May 31, 1941, she married Robert H. Lansford. Mr. Lansford preceded her in death in 1992, after 52 years of marriage. She was a member of the Community North Baptist Church in McKinney. Mrs. Lansford was a homemaker and loved to cook for and take care of her entire family. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lansford is survived by her children, Joe Ann Thane and husband, Leland of Haskell, Texas, Sandra Kent of Allen, Texas, Tommy and Carol Lowry and their children, Kimberly Stratton and Mark Lowry; grandchildren, Robbie Carpenter and wife, Kay of Van Alstyne, Texas, John Halliburton of Maine, Cynthia Thorson of Haskell, Billy Kent and wife, Erin of Dallas, Texas, Bradly Tomberlin and wife, Julie of Mansfield, Texas, Jeff Thane and wife, Cherrill of Andrews, Texas, Marc Thane of Haskell, and Kerry Thane of Abilene, Texas; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Butler and wife, Ardina of Wolfe City, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Lois Butler; and sister, Elizabeth Green. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
