Ida Fay "Memaw" Price

Ida Fay Price, more lovingly known as Memaw, of Princeton, Texas, went home to meet her Heavenly Father Thursday, at the age of 84.  She was born in Collin County, on June 24, 1927 to Sherman Leon and Ora Maude (Dunaway) Thomas.  Memaw married the love of her life, Earl W. Price, on September 7, 1943 in McKinney, Texas.  Their marriage was blessed with four wonderful children.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton.  Memaw loved children; she was a Sunday school teacher for all ages and a care giver the last thirty years of her life.

 

She is survived by her children, Darrell Price and wife Karen, Randy Price and wife Glenda, Shelia Morrow and husband Michael, all of Princeton; grandchildren, Amy Morrow Hearne of Princeton, Christopher and Melanie Morrow of California, Jeremy and Allyson Price of McKinney, Jody and Jennifer Price of McKinney, Justin and Toni Price of Anna, Brandon and Christy Price of California, Jason Price of Princeton, Kevin and Cory Price of  Wylie, Stacy and Christine Price of Wylie, Kyle and Tracey Price of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Hudson Morrow, Mikayla and Darby Price, Riley Price, Trevor Sessions and Easton Price, Daylan Price, Mackenzie, Kelsey, and Jacob Price, Bobby Wayne and Austin Price, Travis and Hannah Price, Dylan and Luke Winton, Curtis,Dylan, and Kayla Price; brothers, Delton Thomas and wife Bessie of Blue Ridge, Willard Thomas and wife Peggy of Merit; sisters, Jean Hartsell and husband Johnny of Princeton and Hester Price of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Cecila Price of Mt. Vernon.

 

Memaw was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earl W. Price and son, Bobby W. Price.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012, at First Baptist Church Princeton, 511 Jefferson Street, Princeton, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church Princeton, 511 Jefferson Street, Princeton, Texas.
