Mr. Homer Walker, age 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away November 17, 2007. He was born August 1, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to Homer Lee and Muriel (Kellett) Walker. On December 25, 1960, he married Sandra Miller, who preceded him in death. He married Phyllis Reed Davis on June 29, 2000, in McKinney. Mr. Walker, who was lovingly known as “Papa”, was a member of the Church of Christ faith. He worked for IBM for more than 32 years and presently was a real estate broker for Ebby Halliday Realtors. Mr. Walker was a member of the Collin County, Texas and National Associations of Realtors. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Walker of McKinney; sons, Ray Walker and wife, Ellen, of McKinney and Russell Walker of Portland, Oregon; stepdaughter, Melissa Atkinson and husband, Hugh, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Christine Walker, Heather Walker and Macy Atkinson; and numerous other friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. H. Hollie Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
