Mrs. Hildred Elizabeth Hines, age 82, of Allen, Texas passed away May 18, 2007. She was born May 27, 1924, in Henderson, Georgia to Joseph Lester and Beulah (Etheridge) O’ Neal. She was the sixth of ten children. On October 26, 1940 she married Claude Hines in Zebulon, Georgia. Hildred and her family moved to Bay City in 1956. She was the owner of Hines Youth Shop on Ave. G from 1974 until 1995. She moved to Allen, Texas in 1995. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed sewing for her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter, Claudette Bailey and her husband, Carl of Allen, Texas; granddaughters, Cathryn McGregor and her husband, Jeff of Allen, Texas, Adrienne Carrington and her husband, Chris of Wylie, Texas, Brenda Uselton and her husband, Jim of McKinney, Texas and Carla Armstrong and her husband, Colin of Plano, Texas; great-grandsons, Carl, Justin and Christian Carrington, Garrett McGregor, Matthew and Ryan Uselton; great-granddaughters, Christyn McGregor, Caitlyn Carrington, Cathryn Uselton; brother, Waymond O’ Neal of Griffin, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Claude Hines; four brothers and four sisters. Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Cedar Vail Cemetery in Bay City, Texas with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating.
