Mr. Herbert Glenn Robertson, Sr., age 81, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 17, 2007, in McKinney. He was born November 7, 1925, in Arlington, Virginia, to Bernard and Annie (Dodson) Robertson. He served in the Merchant Marines in World War II and in the US Army in postwar Japan and during the Korean Conflict. In February 13, 1964, he married Margaret Welch in Prince Georges, Maryland. She preceded him in death in 1990. He worked as an appliance repair technician for General Electric for over 20 years. He is survived by his son, Herbert “Glenn” Robertson, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua, Caisey, Kellen, and Ian; brother, Joseph Robertson and his wife Maryanne of Easton, Maryland; sisters, Patricia Maier and her husband Bill of Ocean Pines, Maryland, Dorothy Wheatley of Prince Frederick, Maryland, and Helen Carlton and her husband Melvin of Crockett, Texas; and a host of other family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, and brothers: Freddie Robertson and Bernard Robertson. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5871 West Virginia Parkway, McKinney,Texas, on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Collin County Committee on Aging or Trinity Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
