Henry Lee Tackett, age 82, of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 10, 2014, in Carrollton, Texas. Henry was born May 26, 1931, in Josephine, Texas, to Willie Monroe and Katie O’Dealie (Martin) Tackett. He was a member of the Church of God in McKinney, Texas.
He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Tackett and wife, Dell of Plano, Texas and Howard Lowell Tackett of Van Alstyne, Texas; step-daughter, Techi Gilson and husband, Tex, also of Van Alstyne; grandchildren, Jennifer Harris of Plano, Texas, Misty Tackett and Ashley Tackett, both of Austin, Texas, and Alexa and Destiny Tackett; great-granddaughter, Everly Kay Green; sisters, Lois Branch and husband, Ronnie of Blue Ridge, Texas and Dessie Morrison of Princeton, Texas; special friend, Annie Warden of McKinney, Texas; Ronnie’s mother, Mary Hughes of Fairview; and Lowell’s mother, Theresa Tackett.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Brad Boyd, brother, Tolbert David “Bud” Tackett, and sister, Ann Raulston.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, North of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church off County Road 710, Frisco, Texas, 75033. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
