Helene B. Moczalla

Mrs. Helene B. (Szkudlabski) Moczalla, age 96, of McKinney, Texas and formerly of Chicago and France passed away February 11, 2011. She was born on April 8, 1914, in Gladbeck, Germany. She married Rudolph Moczalla in 1930, in Noyelles-sous-Lens, France. Mrs. Moczalla was a survivor of World War I and II. After World War II, she came to the United States in 1964. She loved to travel and go to the casino. She was a homemaker, who was a great cook and loved to needlepoint. Mrs. Moczalla attended St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community Church in McKinney. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Edouard and Marthe Moczalla of Paris, France; Georges and Angela Moczalla of McKinney, Texas; and daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Antoine Muskala of Marquette-lez-Lille, France; grandchildren and their spouses, Jean-Pierre and Dina Moczalla, Michael and Debra Moczalla, Sonia Moczalla, Sandra and Julien Renard, and Ingrid and Juan Cerda; sister, Janine Wieczorek of Brookfield, Illinois; nephews, Eddy Wieczorek (her godson) and wife, Patricia, Robert Wieczorek and wife, Kathy; great grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Nathalie and Colette Moczalla; Victoria and Carla Renard, and Baltasar Cerda; and a host of other loving relatives and many friends. Mrs. Moczalla was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Willy, Franz and Charles; and sisters, Maria and Cecile. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
