Helen Delia Young, age 70, of Fairview, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2013 in Plano, Texas. She was born on August 19, 1943 in Syracuse, New York to Robert and Dorothy (Beaulieu) Kraus. Helen married Jerry Young on October 14, 1988 in Lewisville, Texas. She was an executive assistant for J.C. Penney from 1985-2005. Helen was a member and former historian for the Garden Club at Heritage Ranch, as well as a member of the Cardmaking Club in Heritage Ranch. She enjoyed needlepoint, stamping, and arts & crafts. Helen attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Young of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Donna Gadd and husband Chuck of Littleton, Colorado and loving stepchildren, Scott Young and wife Becky of Flower Mound, Texas; Carrie Walker and husband Jeff of Carrolton, Texas; grandchildren, Charlie Gadd, Morgan Young, Brooke Young, Reser Walker and Bethany Walker; niece, Kathleen Tate and nephew, James Carroll; sister-in-law, Patricia Rancort of Carmel, Indiana. She is also survived by many extended family and beloved friends around the world.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Kraus and sister, Roberta Carroll.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Friday, December 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
