Ms. Helen Beck, age 83, of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 22, 2004 in McKinney, Texas. She was born to Lee and Minnie (Shelton) Hunter on February 29, 1920 in Brownwood, Texas. She graduated from high school in Brooksmith, Texas and received a BBA degree in 1939 from Howard Payne University. She moved to McKinney in 1960 and was a bookkeeper for Bealls Department Store for over 20 years. She is survived by her only son, Dr. Charles Beck of McKinney, Texas; cousins, Harold Shelton, Benina Pierce, Jack Shelton, Judy Miller, Jane Weatherby and Jo Driskill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Putnam officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Green Leaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
