Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Parr Jones, 99 year old Katy resident, formerly of Leonard, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday December 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Leonard. Rev. Denny Gorena will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday December 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Leonard.
Mrs. Jones was born April 5, 1914 at Celeste. Her parents were Zemry Edwin and Lula Hazal Parr. She was a graduate of Celeste High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard. She married Pat Jones July 14, 1937 at Celeste. She passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 at the Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation at Katy.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ron and Sherilyn Jones of Katy; her grandchildren: Scott Christopher Jones and Mark Parrish Jones of Katy and John David and Kelcy Robinson of Frisco; her great grandchildren: Elie and Hayden Robinson of Frisco.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Lacey, and two brothers, Jimmie Parr and Cary Parr.
