Harvey Searfoss, Jr., age 69, of Whitewright, Texas, died Friday, January 23, 2009, at his home in Whitewright, Texas. He was born October 3, 1939, the son of Harvey and Almeda (Cawkins) Searfoss, in Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Shirley Reisinger on April 14, 1978 at Rockwall, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Searfoss of Whitewright; son, John Searfoss of Whitewright, Texas; step-son, David Lindh of New Jersey; step-daughter, Darcey Branning of Wiley, Texas; step-daughter, Donna Lee Ardito of South Carolina; step-daughter, Dorice Kolesar of South Carolina; and sister, Rita Anderson of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Bethel Baptist Church, Whitewright. Officiating will be Rev. Randy McBroom. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until service time at the church.
