Harold Richard "Dick" McCoy

Harold Richard “Dick” McCoy, age 68 of Frisco, Texas passed away on May 28, 2015 in Plano. Dick was born on August 26, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois and moved to Tucson, AZ. at age 2 1/2 years old. Son of Harold Frederick and Elsie Aurelia (Ferchow) McCoy. He graduated from Amphitheater High School and from the University of Arizona. He served as 1st Lt. in the U. S. Army, Co. B 1st BN 25th Inf. Tank Division during the Vietnam War. Dick worked as a manager in the construction equipment rental industry for RentCenter, Darr Rental, J.A. Riggs and TNT Equipment Company. He married Elizabeth Avitabile Fraser on November 8, 1991 in Tucson, Arizona.

Dick is remembered with love by his wife, Betty McCoy of Frisco, Texas; sons, Michael McCoy and wife, Kathleen of Frisco, Texas, Brian McCoy of Hickory Creek, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob McCoy and Kayla McCoy both of Frisco, Texas; step-children, Brooke Levassar and husband, Guy of Frisco, Texas, Brad Fraser and wife, Jennifer of Plano, Texas; step-grandchildren, Ava Levassar and Piper Levassar both of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Sue Ann Arnold and husband, Ray of Arizona, Nancy Fennell and husband, John of Wilmington, North Carolina and Gloria Duerr and husband, Jerre of Oxford, Wisconsin; and mother of his children Marilyn McCoy. Dick was a long time member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church Tucson, AZ until he transferred his membership to Atonement Lutheran Church Plano, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 4412 Legacy Drive, Plano TX 75024 with Pastor Jeremy Belter officiating.
