Harold Loyd Lewis, age 78 of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 14, 2007 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was born on September 19, 1928 in McKinney to George Washington and Beulah (Woods) Lewis. Harold grew up in McKinney and attended schools in the Lovejoy area. Mr. Lewis served in the United States Army where he earned a Victory Medal and Occupation Medal. He married Ruby Helen McBride on December 14, 1949 in McKinney. He was the owner of Lewis Roofing since 1970 and attended The Assembly of God. Harold is survived by his wife, Ruby Lewis of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Martha Henderson and husband, Larry of Wylie, Texas, Linda Marshall and husband, Johnny of McKinney, Texas, Tammy Russell and husband Rickie, Sr. of Van Alstyne, Texas; sons, Harold Glenn Lewis of Wylie, Texas, Robert Paul Lewis and wife Delores of Van Alstyne, Texas, David Ray Lewis and wife Mitzi of McKinney, Texas, James Curtis Lewis and wife Lesli of Anna, Texas, John Charles Lewis of Fort Stockton, Texas and Larry Dwayne Lewis and fiancée, Ramona Tanguma of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Paul Lewis, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Kasey Henderson Carker and husband, Chris, Daniel Lewis and wife Nacole, James David Lewis, Anthony Brent Henderson and wife, Melody, Corbin James Lewis, Courtney Lewis Ruetz and husband, Travis, Misty Kay Russell, Rickie Glenn Russell, Jr., Brandi Marshall Salinas and husband, Michael; great-grandchildren, James Robert Lewis, Shelby Lewis, Timothy Blake Henderson, Zander Gage Carker, Gabriel Salinas and three more on the way; brother, Earl Ray Lewis of Garland, TX; and sisters, Sue Seabolt of Garland, TX and Betty Stine of Farmersville, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lamona Harrod and grandson, Timothy Brant Henderson. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday, July 19, 2007 to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a Visitation on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 20, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Marshall officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery in Melissa, Texas.
