Harold Henry Hackler

Harold Henry Hackler, age 73, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 22, 2008, in Allen, Texas. He was born October 9, 1934 in Gilmer, Texas to Henry Franklin and Gladys (Parish) Hackler. On November 9, 1956 he married Mary Talley in Gilmer, Texas. Harold grew up in Pittsburg, Texas and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin University. He enjoyed playing tennis and was a longtime member of Eldorado Country Club. Harold worked for Hunt Energy and Harkin Energy as the controller and was Vice-President of Tennison Oil until his retirement in 1999. Harold proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hackler of McKinney, Texas; children, India Meder and her husband, Keith of McKinney, Texas; Mason Hackler and his wife, Patty of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Crystal Nash and her husband, Todd, Kenzi Meder, Ezmeralda Hackler, Ruby Hackler and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, January 24, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Thursday at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
