Harold "Bud" Wayne Kinamon, Jr.

MSG Harold W. (Bud) Kinamon, Jr. (US Army) was born in Greenville, Texas on January 24, 1964 and died at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio on October 22, 2005 while recovering from surgery. Bud entered the US Army in 1987. Following a tour of active duty in Germany and a brief deployment to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm and several years in the Army reserves where he served as Drill Sergeant, Bud returned to active duty stationed at DFAS in Dayton, Ohio. Bud was an outstanding soldier and held numerous decorations. Bud attended First Baptist Church in Dallas where he was baptized and graduated from First Baptist Academy. Bud received a BBA from UT-Arlington and MBA from the University of North Texas. In addition, Bud held numerous certifications in Finance and was a member of Kappa Alpha Order and Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by infant son James Mason Kinamon, paternal grandfather Price Kinamon, maternal grandmother Eunice Odom, aunt Patsy (Kinamon) Popplewell, and uncle Boyce Odom. He is survived by wife Tina, parents Buddy and Gay (Odom) Kinamon, sister Deana (Kinamon) Sorensen, brother-in-law Mark Sorensen, paternal grandmother Clara Kinamon, maternal grandfather Layward Odom, aunt Loyce Odom, uncle Larry Popplewell, numerous cousins and a myriad of close friends. Bud was much loved and will be greatly missed by family, friends, military associates, and everyone he met. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Dallas, 1707 San Jacinto, with Rev. Mark Robinson and Rev. Ken Stohner, Sr. officiating. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday at Bethlehem Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
