H.B. "Buck" Hall

H.B. “Buck” Hall of Anna, Texas passed away July 20, 2012 at the age of 92. He was born October 24, 1919 to Dudley and Rona Belle (Hanks) Hall in Anna. Buck grew up in Princeton, Texas. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII and landed in Normandy on “D-Day”. Buck married Norma Jean Roper on September 21, 1946 in McKinney, Texas. He spent his life working a dairy farm and ranching. Buck enjoyed fishing and served the Lord as a Deacon at Westminster Baptist Church. He loved spending time with friends, family, and working on projects in his shop.  

He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Hall of Anna, sons, Harold Wayne Hall and wife Tina of Anna, Billy Hall and wife Mary Margaret of Anna, Richard Hall and wife Kathy of Anna; grandchildren, Melissa Meserole and husband Brian of Anna, Meranda Phebus and husband Master Sargeant Justin of Hampton, Virginia, Matthew Hall and fiancé Ashley of Anna, Kelly Martinez and husband Anthony of Anna, Kevin Hall of Anna; great-grandchildren, Billy Meserole, Byron Meserole, Brenden Meserole, Adam Phebus, Katy Phebus, and Landon (Danger) Martinez; two brothers, D.W. Hall and wife Peggy, Craig Hall and wife Peggy; one sister, Helen Campbell. 

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Rona Hall; brother, Billy Jim Hall, sister, Meda Von Gray and son, Roger Gene Hall.  

A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Westminster Baptist Church, 100 East Public Road, Westminster, Texas 75485. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Westminster, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
