Gwendolyn Gail Green, of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2013 at the age of 66. She was born on August 19, 1946, in McKinney, Texas, to Roy Earl and Sylvia (Lindsey) Dickerson. On April 8, 1991, Gwendolyn married Lanny Green in Plano, Texas. She enjoyed art, particularly ceramics. Gwendolyn loved to travel, work in the yard and read. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Lanny Green of Pottsboro, Texas; children, Kevin Quick and wife Veronica of Plano, Texas, Julie Matthews of Van Alstyne, Texas, Phillip Green and wife Dana of Royse City, Texas and Leslie Quick of Hopewell, Virginia; brother, Richard Dickerson and wife Kathy of McKinney, Texas; sister, Brenda Jennings and husband Willie of Pottsboro, Texas; sister-in-law, Paula Dickerson of Midlothian, Texas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Sylvia Dickerson and brother, Roy Lynn Dickerson, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held on Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
