Guo Hua Huang, age 84, of Frisco, Texas passed away on August 15, 2013. Guo was born March 1, 1929, in China to Kun Sheng Huang and Wei Da Yu. Guo was the oldest son of his family of 6 siblings. Guo worked as a geologist went to many places throughout China when they needed to explore and find minerals and coals. Guo learned to draw maps by hand, with machine like precision, back when there was no computer or digital printing. Guo had many memories of places he went to and would share those exciting expeditions. Guo had a superb memory of people, things and events that took place. When he first came to the U.S. he had less than 100 dollars on him and overcame many obstacles to get where he was. Despite his language difficulties he learned and improved at an age most people would have given up. Guo was always in good health and outgoing. Even in the last week before his passing he asked if he could get up and drive his car and go home. We will always miss him with many tender memories.
Guo is survived by his son, Li Ming Huang of Frisco, Texas; former wife, Li Jun Wu of Frisco, Texas; brothers, Qiang Hua Huang and Hui Hua Huang; and sisters, Li Hua Huang, Qi Hua Huang and Xiang Hua Huang.
Guo is preceded in death by his parents, Kun Sheng Huang and Wei Da Yu and brother, Jun Hua Huang.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
