Gregory Charles LaValle, age 65, of Fairview, Texas, passed away October 19, 2013, in Fairview. Gregory was born July 8, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to Angelo and Rita (Misiora) LaValle. He married Theresa Lange on January 30, 1971, in Austin, Texas. Gregory graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, in 1970. He began his career as a teacher and coach. In 1981 he began his career with New York Life Insurance Company. Gregory was promoted to corporate vice president in 1997 and retired in 2011. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and a Chicago Blackhawks hockey fan. Gregory was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa LaValle of Fairview, Texas; and his sister and brother-in-law, Carmella Chapman and Wayland Chapman of Kyle, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Entombment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any children’s cancer hospital of your choice.
