Gregory Smith Schooley, age 50, of Melissa, Texas, passed away September 30, 2014, in Dallas, Texas. Greg was born February 14, 1964, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Dianne (Smith) Schooley. He married Stephanie Adamcik on April 25, 1998, in Dallas, Texas. Gregory grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School and later from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor degree in radio and television. He worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Disney, and the Westin Associated. Gregory enjoyed cooking, playing with his children, watching OU football, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Schooley of Melissa, Texas; children, Connor Schooley, Emma Schooley, and Grace Schooley; mother, Dianne Schooley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Tom Schooley and wife, Lisa of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chris Schooley and wife, Angela of Detroit, Michigan; and nieces and nephews, Baxter Schooley, Claire Schooley, Cara Schooley, Megan Schooley, and Grace Nibler.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.
