Granvel William Ellis, age 87 of McKinney, Texas passed away August 19, 2009 in McKinney, Texas. He was born December 15, 1921 in Princeton, Texas to Alice (Peel) and James W. Ellis. On June 30, 1946, he married Evelyn Corley in McKinney, Texas. Granvel was a retired employee of Royal Crown Bottling Company for 35 years, and a retiree of Ron Farley’s Garage. He was also member of the Hillcrest Christian Church. Granvel is survived by his son, Billy Ellis and his wife, Terry of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Ellis of McKinney, Texas; sister, Glenda Nell Dodson of Rockwall, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home in Allen at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, August 21, 2009 evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
