IN LOVING MEMORY

Gordon Dennis Key

Dec 14 1942 - Nov 30 2014

Dennis Key, age 71, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on November 30, 2014. He was born on December 14, 1942 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Carmen (Mitchell) and A.C. Key. Dennis started his career at Texas Instruments in the 1960s. He worked in the semiconductor industry his entire professional career, most notably at Gemini Research, as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Lam Research, and as President/CEO at Aspect Systems Incorporated.

The loss of this man, so cherished, leaves hurt in the hearts of countless family members and friends. However, he would tell us “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” Philippians 1:21. His loving kindness, warmth, and forgiveness were demonstrated in his actions, and it was impossible not to smile just being near him. His animated story telling was sure to earn laughs no matter how many times you heard the stories. He loved his family, life, his country, music, singing, writing, reminiscing, and don’t forget, his dogs; but above all else, he loved the Lord. He was a patriot and a servant of God.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Pamela Key of Little Elm, Texas; six children, Gordon Dennis Key, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Texas, Randol Craig Key (Lilly) of Houston, Texas, Gregory Scott Key (Katy) of Grapevine, Texas, Julianna Moses (David) of Abilene, Texas, Adam Christopher George Key (Amy) of Plano, Texas and Jocelyn Key Wilmore (Dave) of Frisco, Texas; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Sherri Carr of Jenks, Oklahoma, Debby Askins of Checotah, Oklahoma and Gary Key (Sandy) of Ozark, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his grandson, Robert Ian Key and parents, A.C. and Carmen Mitchell Key.

A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the funeral home in Allen from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
