Glenn Merel Willis, Sr., age 59, of Allen, Texas passed away March 21, 2011. He was born on January 1, 1952, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Dewey Edward and Margie Louise (Young) Willis. On September 17, 1975, Glenn married his wife, who preceded him in death, Deborah Ruth Willis in Duncan, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. Glenn was a member of Allen Heights Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. He is survived by his children, Glenn Willis, Jr., LaVonna Willis, and Jennifer Willis, all of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Elizabeth Willis, Hannah Willis, and Jeremy Daigle, Jr.; brothers, Don Willis of Lofland, Nevada, and Tony Willis of Duncan, Oklahoma; sisters, Margene Roberts of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Yevette Willis of Wichita Falls, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Allen Heights Baptist Church, Allen, Texas. Committal service will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation service, Friday evening, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
