Gladys Irene Uselton, age 99, of Wylie, Texas passed away June 19, 2010. She was born July 25, 1910, in Plano, Texas to John and Dosha (Marion) Collinsworth. She married Eldrege Uselton on September 16, 1930 in Oklahoma. Gladys was a member of Renner Baptist Church. She worked for Kitchen Vent for 23 years. Gladys had many hobbies she was a quilter; loved arts & crafts, gardening, and fishing. She is survived by her children, Joyce Morrow and husband Don, Linda Richardson, and James Uselton and wife Wanda, all of Wylie; grandchildren, Kathy Ann Johnson, Karen Butler, Robin Uselton, and Stephanie Roger; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Elsasser of McKinney, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Dosha Collinsworth; husband, Eldrege Uselton; son-in-law, George; grandson, Kevin Davis; and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Roger Berghauser officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.
