Obituary for Gladys Marie Self Gladys Marie Self, age 81, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 2, 2007, Plano, Texas. She was born November 29, 1925, in Garrett’s Bluff, Texas to John Franklin Herron and Corrie Elizabeth (Harris) Herron. On March 20, 1943, she married Ausie Ralph Self in Hugo, Oklahoma. Gladys was a homemaker and member of the Waterview Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Ralph; daughter, Sheila Wishard and her husband Larry of Centennial, Colorado; son, Stan Self and his wife Camille of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff Wishard, Amy Goggins, Spencer, Travis, and Quentin Self, and Jordan Costen; great-grandchildren, Jared Wishard and Jordan Goggins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Lloyd, Frank, Alvis and Carl; and sisters, Lorene, Nonnie, Geneva and Mary. A funeral service was held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Brother Robert Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
