Gladys Louise Schmidt, age 92 of Frisco, Texas passed away on December 13, 2011 in Plano, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1919 in Queens, New York to Clarence and Louise (Kruger) Luquer. Gladys married Joseph Arthur Schmidt in August 1938 in Queens. She was a supervisor for the New York State Welfare Department. Gladys lived for many years in Tucson, Arizona where both she and husband, Joseph were members of the Shriner organization. Gladys is survived by her sons, Arthur J. Schmidt and his wife, Vi of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Donald C. Schmidt and his wife, Pam of Tucson, Arizona, John T. Schmidt and his wife, Barbara of Frisco, Texas; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schmidt and her parents, Clarence and Louise Luquer. The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 2-4 PM.
