Gladys Pearl Ragan, age 95, of Bonham, Texas, passed away December 17, 2008, in Bonham. Gladys was born June 16, 1913 in Lone Oaks, Arkansas to Carl and Mary Pearl (Wilkins) Ragan. She married Rayphord Travis Ragan in Hugo, Oklahoma. Gladys grew up in Greenville, Texas. She operated an antique shop called Ragan’s Roost in Melissa, Texas for twenty years. Gladys had been a member of First Baptist Church of Melissa since 1962 where she taught Sunday School classes. She also took an active part in the Pioneer Club for senior citizens. Gladys was a loving mother and grandmother to all of her children. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jayne Ragan; grandson, Glen Ragan; granddaughters, Debra Lynn Sepaugh and Leslee Rene Norfolk; two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pearl Tatom, husband, Rayphord Travis Ragan, and sons, Carl Ragan and Rayphord Glen Ragan. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 – 6:30 P.M. Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
