IN LOVING MEMORY

Giuseppe "Joe" Giulio Russo

Mar 12 1937 - Oct 23 2012

Giuseppe “Joe” Giulio Russo, age 75, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 23, 2012, quietly in his sleep. He was born on March 12, 1937, in Rome, Italy, to Gaetano and Tina Russo. He fell in love with his beautiful bride JoEtta Wyatt near his home in Rome, and they wed in Vincennes, Indiana, on January 11, 1964. Joe furthered his engineering degree from Italy by receiving his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston.

He was a top telecommunications engineer for the Collins Division of Rockwell International, Alcatel, and Ericsson Wireless. His designs for the communication systems are on the NASA Lunar Rover that still sits on the Moon.

He was a track hurdle star in Rome, and his accomplishments continued in the USA as an award winning photographer and a highly skilled craftsman. He built anything from furniture to computers from scratch and could repair anything. He was well travelled and made sure his family saw the world. He was a loving, dedicated husband to JoEtta and lived his life for his daughter, Sabrina, and son, Wyatt, who have survived him. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. We miss his loving smile and big, soft, caring hands dearly.

A memorial open house will be held today, Tuesday, October 30, 11am-2pm at Turrentine Jackson Morrow, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX, 972-562-2601.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in the name of Joe Russo to your favorite charity.
