Mr. George Wingate, age 83, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away January 14, 2005, in Hot Springs. He was born August 19, 1921, in Corning, New York, to Ernest and Agnes (Tetor) Wingate. He married Charlotte Cook on March 13, 1943, in Corning, New York, and after her death married Pauline Blanchette Greene on August 7, 1999, in Plano, Texas. Mr. Wingate was a supervisor for Corning, Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Greene-Wingate of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughters, Patricia Blencowe of Bigelow, Arkansas, Sharon M. Harriger of Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, and Barbara Thompson of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Stephenson of Jupiter, Florida, and Betty Pipe of Bradford, New York; step-daughter, Karen Echols of Coppell, Texas; and step-son, Alan Greene of The Woodlands, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte Wingate; parents, Ernest and Agnes Wingate; and brother, Douglas Wingate. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 17, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Brian Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M., Monday.
