Lieutenant Commander George K. Tilley, U.S. Navy retired, passed to his rest in McKinney, Texas on January 12, 2005 at the age of 90. Mr. Tilley was born on October 6, 1914, in Banner, Oklahoma the son of Franklin and Maude Tilley, and the youngest of four children. He grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma and was a member of the First Christian Church. He joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1934 and served his country for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Dorothy Willard Tilley, and his wife of twenty years, Floreine Chiles Tilley. He is survived by his son, Pete Tilley of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Susan Ah-Mau of Napa, California; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Funeral services and interment will be held in El Reno, Oklahoma.
