George Michael Casper, 84, passed away on August 5, 2015 in Irving, Texas. He was born April 5, 1931 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Barney Peter and Helen Miller Casper. He married Etta Vandagriff on February 11, 1959 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mr. Casper was an accountant. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
Mr. Casper is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Casper; sons, Michael John and wife Judy Casper of Diana, Texas, David Wayne and wife Lori Casper of Wylie, Texas, and Joel Andrew Casper of Allen, Texas; daughters, Patty Lynn and husband Terry Riddle of Richmond, Texas, and Michelle Casper of Irving, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; sister, Fran Regner, and brother Richard Casper.
Mr. Casper was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dwayne Casper and granddaughter, Jessica Manthei.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Melissa, Texas.
