George Clifton Brown, age 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 26, 2011, in McKinney. George was born February 24, 1942, in McKinney to J. B. and Andryus (Davis) Brown. He graduated from McKinney High School, Class of 1960. George was employed with Raytheon for forty-five years. He enjoyed golf and Nascar. He is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Brown of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Cindy Mathews and husband, Tyler of Benton, Illinois; son, Robert Brown and wife, Elizabeth of Benton, Illinois; five granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; sister, Linda Chapman and husband, David of McKinney, Texas; brother, Tommy Brown and wife, Linda of Rowlett, Texas; step-daughter, Beth Marie Smith of McKinney, Texas; step-son, Ralph Jace Smith of Lufkin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas with Rev. Dr. Danny Buster officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
