Mrs. Genie (Rawlings) Hendrix, age 66, of Weston, Texas passed away April 29, 2011 in Abilene, Texas. She was born January 4, 1945 in Denton, Texas to Clarence A. and Evelyn Roberta (Loftice) Rawlings. Genie married Kenneth Hendrix July 6, 1963 in McKinney, Texas. She worked for Hughes Insurance in Celina for 30 years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Weston. She is survived by; husband; Kenneth Hendrix of Weston, Texas; 2 daughters, Tammie Ragsdale of McKinney, Texas and Tralyn Hendrix of Weston, Texas; 1 son, Terry Hendrix of Weston, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Gentry Ragsdale, Whitley Molinar and Justin Ragsdale, Ian Ragsdale; 2 great grandchildren, Emily and Lauren Ragsdale; 1 niece, 1 nephew and 2 great nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Rawlings; brother, Bobby Rawlings; sister Linda Rawlings. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Weston, Texas with Michael Waco officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 7-9 P.M. at Turrentine- Jackson- Morrow Funeral Home in Celina.
