Geneva Mae Tillian

Geneva Cosgrove Tillian of Allen, TX passed away November 2, 2011 at the age of 72. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma and lived in Tulsa and Oklahoma City her childhood years. Geneva graduated from US Grant High School in 1957. She moved to California and met her loving husband Donald J. Tillian. Geneva married in Las Vegas, NV January 27, 1961. Geneva moved to Houston, Texas (Clear Lake City area) with husband’s job in the Space Program- NASA She is a past resident of Houston, Texas (Clear Lake City area) for 43 years. Moved to Allen, TX summer of 2007. While creating a loving home for her family, she found time for many other activities such as working as a bookkeeper and volunteering with the school PTO. She was a Eucharist Minister delivering Communion to the elderly and playing Bingo in a local nursing home. She was an IC support group leader. Family roots were very important to Geneva, she loved researching her ancestry. She has 13 patriots confirmed in the NSDAR (National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution) Geneva served as Registrar for Sam Houston Chapter in Houston, TX and became an Associate member at John Abston Chapter in McKinney, TX, as well as other lineage organization she proudly belong to; The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century and Alamo Defenders Descendants Association. It did not take her long to meet new friends at the Allen Senior Center with all the wonderful activities and trips. She loved playing bridge with her different bridge groups in Houston, Richardson, and Plano and McKinney area. She is survived by her loving husband Donald J. Tillian; daughter Melissa Dawn Neason and husband Jeffrey C. Neason and granddaughter Sarah Lauren Neason of Southlake, TX and Sister Shirley Ann (Cosgrove) Buchanan of Chickasha, OK plus a host of other cousins, family, and friends. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Allen Darrow Cosgrove and Faye G. Brown and Sisters Betty Jo Cosgrove and Bobbie Lee Jones. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., November 5, 2011 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, TX. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
