Gene Fields Lewis, age 78, passed away on March 21, 2007 in Little Elm, Texas. He was born on August 29, 1928 in Scranton, Iowa to Elsie (Hidlebaugh) and Claude W. Lewis. He was a Supply Specialist for the Military. Gene is survived by his siblings Floyd Lewis and his wife Nelda of Portola, California, Charles Lewis and his wife Shirlene of Pocatalla, Idaho, June Langan of De Soto, Kansas, Vern Lewis and his wife Jan of Little Elm, Texas, Leonard Lewis and his wife Dorothy of Sacremento, California, Lyle Lewis and his wife Dottie of De Soto, Kansas, Coral Jacino and her husband Mike of Fair Oaks, California; numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at DFW National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 10:30 AM in Dallas, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday, March 26, 2007 to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:30 PM.
