Gary grew up in Trenton, TX and graduated from Trenton High School in 1965. He leaves behind many lifetime friends. He served in the US Air Force from 1972-1976. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 28 years and retired early due to ill health in 2006. He was active in sports throughout his life and loved all kinds of sports. He enjoyed talking about sports, watching them on TV and listening to games on the radio with his wife, Dee. He, also, loved to fish and play cards. He was much loved by his family and friends and a bright spot has gone out of their lives.

His family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Gina Rushing and her staff for all their assistance in his health care the past few years. Dr. Rushing always took the time to listen and explain everything Gary wanted to know; and the trust he had in her was immeasurable. Also, no words can express how grateful his family is to Dr. Ellington and the DaVita Dialysis clinic in Greenville. Gary loved the staff and made many friends there over the last 4 years. Gary’s health declined in June and Hospice Plus in Greenville, TX made it possible for Gary to spend his last days at home with his family. They provided gentle loving care, along with expert nursing, emotional support and spiritual guidance.

God bless all our friends and loved ones for all of the food, flowers, calls and visits.
