Gary Claudell Abrams, age 56, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 6, 2008, in McKinney. Gary was born March 29, 1952, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Elzie and Kathryn Lucille (Lincoln) Abrams. He married Connie Young on March 29, 2002 in McKinney, Texas. Gary was a construction worker and a member of Cornerstone Church in McKinney, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Connie of McKinney, Texas; children, Gary Abrams, Jr., Patricia Gerensi, Bernard Abrams, Sue Bell, Tashima Ellis, Tashaunlyn Tubbs, Shonta Young, Conshanea Young; brothers and sisters, Jowarner Christian, Karen Holmes and husband, Jesse, Neva Tarver and husband, Wilfred, Denise Ellis and husband, Harry, Glennis Vann and husband, Willie, Beverly Fields, Bobbie Cole, Kimberly Lemon, Russell Abrams, Mark Abrams, and Jimmy Abrams and wife, Velma; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Paula Abrams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 8, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Jessie Owens officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
