Mr. G. C. (Pete) Murray of Farmersville, Texas passed away March 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1920 in CollinCounty to John Jackson and Matilda Shipp Murray. He married Vera D Crawford September 14, 1946 in Dallas, Texas. Pete was a retired farmer and was a member of the TrinityBaptistChurch where he served as a deacon. He served in the United States Navy during WWII as a fireman first class. Mr. Murray is survived by his wife Vera Murray of Farmersville, Texas, sons; Jimmy Murray and wife Annagene, and Billy Bob Murray and wife Tina all of Farmersville, Texas and daughter Jo Hendon and husband Steve of Cedar Hill, Texas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son John Anson Murray, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 grand son Justin Murray. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the TrinityBaptistChurch in Farmersville with Rev. Brett Bird and Rev. Miller McClure officiating with interment at the NevadaCemetery in Nevada Texas. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Sunday evening at the Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas.
