IN LOVING MEMORY

Freddie Gene Pennington

Apr 06 1945 - Sep 09 2011

Surrounded by his family, Freddie Gene Pennington passed from this world in his home on September 9, 2011. Freddie was born to Fred and Tessie Pennington on April 6, 1945 in Denton, TX. He married the love of his life, Leta Davis Pennington on June 8, 1974. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred; his brother, Eddie Richard; and his sister, Mary Ruth Milligan. Freddie left behind his loving wife, Leta; his mother, Tessie Pennington of Frisco, TX; his sister, Patsy Cave and her husband, James, of McKinney, TX; his sister-in-law, Imogene Pennington of Frisco, TX; his brother-in-law, Bud Davis and his wife, Melissa of Tyler, TX; and his sister-in-law, Becky Davis Price, and her husband, Red, of Aubrey, TX. Our grief will linger. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who grew up believing their Uncle Freddie “hung the moon”. One spoiled cat, Whitey, will continue to look for him. Freddie was a loyal dedicated man who had many friends and met no strangers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the competition of any game. Freddie never wanted to miss anything and was always ready to go. His smile and laugh will echo in the hearts and minds of the people who knew and loved him. Family visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, TX. His funeral service will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Frisco. Burial will be in the Little Elm cemetery. The family requests any charitable contributions in Freddie’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
