Freddie Charles Dixon, age 64 of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 29, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. He was born April 7, 1950 in Greenville, Mississippi to Willie Ray and May Belle (Ling) Dixon. Freddie graduated from Mesquite High School in 1968. He was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Freddie was a long time member of the Golf Club of McKinney. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Freddie was a natural athlete and loved playing cards. He married Donna (Cardott) Sarles April 6, 1994 in Illinois. Freddie was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Dixon of McKinney; three daughters, Mai Lynette Edge of Greenville, Texas, Tammy Lynn Little of Paris, Texas, and Michelle Renee Clark of Sherman, Texas; three step-children, William Sarles of Illinois, Kathleen Sarles of Indiana, and Chaz Sarles of McKinney, Texas; three siblings, James Ray Dixon of Houston, Billie Jean Bramlett of Princeton, Texas, and Janis Faye Stewart of Princeton, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, May Belle and Willie Ray Dixon and grandparents.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the Disabled American Veterans Association.
