Freda Gill, age 99, passed away January 13, 2011, in Plano. Freda was born November 24, 1911, in Kinta, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Linn (Wortham) McKinley. She married Clarence Hubert Gill in 1930 in Leguire, Oklahoma. Freda was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She is survived by her grandson, Allen Patterson and wife, Elizabeth of McKinney, Texas; great-grandsons, Blake and Ryan Patterson; sister, Wanda Council of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother, Vernon McKinley of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert “C. H.” Gill, daughter, Billye Patterson, son, Jerry Gill, four brothers, and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2011, at Goddard United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Interment will be held at East Slopes Cemetery in Riverside, Missouri. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home in Ft. Smith, 201 N. 12th St., Ft. Smith, Arkansas, 479-782-8203.
