Frank Lewis, age 78, of Lindale, Texas, previously of Princeton, Texas, passed away August 17, 2009, in Lindale. Frank was born August 24, 1930 in McKinney, Texas, to William Clarence and Grace (Grandstaff) Lewis. He married Verna Louise Jordan on November 29, 1947 in McKinney, Texas. Frank retired from the Texas Highway Department after more than twenty years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Louise Lewis of Lindale, Texas; daughters, Judy Lewis and husband, Jimmy of Van, Texas, Janet Moore and her husband, Calvin of Prosper, Texas, and Rose Cade and her husband, Marvin of Lindale, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, W. C. Lewis, Jr. of Quinlan, Texas and Charles Lewis and his wife, Betty of Hawkins, Texas; and sisters, Mary Zeitler and husband, Frank of Comanche, Texas and Margaret Rose Morrow and her husband, Billy, also of Quinlan. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry Frank Lewis in 1999, brother, F. B. Lewis, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
