Frank Ronald Clark

Frank Ronald Clark, 75, of McKinney, Texas, died suddenly at his home in McKinney, Texas on November 10, 2014. He was born in Clinton County, Iowa to Orville and Irma (Berner) Clark.  Frank grew up on the family farm and graduated from Delmar High School in 1957.  He went on to attend the University of Illinois in Chicago. While in Chicago, he met his first wife Verna (Dascomb) and started a life-long career in the printing industry.  Frank and Verna had one son, Frank Jr.  Following a divorce, Frank moved to California. Frank married his second wife, Kathleen Holden on December 31, 1977.  This marriage ended in 2012. Frank had a long career in the printing industry, starting with RR Donnelly in Chicago.  For many years he owned his own company, Travel Arts, which produced magazines, brochures and advertisements. He later worked for and retired from International Paper. In 2012, Frank moved to McKinney, Texas to be close to his son and grand children. While in Texas, Frank enjoyed dancing, cooking, hosting dinner parties, family activities and meeting new people. He was full of life and always had a positive attitude.

Those left to honor Frank's memory include son Frank, Jr. and daughter-in-law Jacqueline of Fairview, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey and Christopher, all of Fairview, Texas; and 2 sisters, Juanita (Leonard) Ritter of Bloomington, MN and Barbara (Wayne) Mayberry of Maquoketa, IA.

A celebration of his life will be held 3-5 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Country Lane Seniors Community, 2401 Country View Lane, McKinney, Texas. In Maquoketa, a celebration of his life will be held 4-6 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at Carson & Son Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded and there is no public visitation. A private burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa.
